RMC Sport report that 19-year-old Lille defensive midfielder-cum-central defender Cheikh Niasse is the subject of interest from a trio of clubs ahead of next month’s transfer window.
They are Rennes, Mainz and Premier League side Watford. LOSC are expecting to receive their first formal bid from one of these three sides in the form of a loan with obligation to buy offer in the coming hours.
Niasse’s case is particular in the sense that LOSC have been considering installing him as the long-term replacement to Boubakary Soumaré, who is receiving considerable interest from across Europe about a possible January move.
At the moment, Lille have little intention of losing this Senegalese teenager as a result, but as is often the case with Les Dogues, it will depend on the size of the offer.
