L’Équipe report this morning that Premier League side Wolves have informed the Principality side that they are willing to place an offer worth around the €40m mark for 18-year-old Monaco central defender Benoît Badiashile on AS Monaco’s table.
VP Oleg Petrov is taking the bid seriously, knowing that it has come from Jorge Mendes, who has strong ties to both clubs.
The French youth international’s position on the matter is currently unclear, but sources tell the newspaper that Wolves representatives feel that they have a 50-50 chance of closing the deal.
The article claims that Manchester United could also concretely position themselves for the teenager shortly.
