Our colleagues at Téléfoot understand that Russian side Zenit St Petersburg will imminently close a deal with Barcelona to sign Brazilian winger Malcom, despite renewed contacts in recent hours from Premier League side Everton.
The deal is set to close for €40m + €5m in bonuses for the 24-year-old who just 12 months ago joined the Catalan giants from Bordeaux. Malcom decided not to wait to see if renewed discussions with Everton bore fruit because he is attracted by the idea of playing Champions’ League this season.
The Brazilian will receive €6m a year plus bonuses with Zenit and has been told that he will receive consistent playing time there.
