Le Courrier Picard report that Ghanaian international central defender Nicholas Opoku will return to Amiens on loan after an initial 6-month spell, for the 2020/21 season, despite the club’s relegation to Ligue 2.
Opoku got 7 appearances under his belt in the 2019/20 campaign, and had also been, although admittedly quite low, on the shortlists of Metz and Rennes who have both reinforced in central defensive areas this summer with other options.
A medical is imminent – it is unclear whether or not ASC will have an option to buy the player included in the contract.
