L’Équipe report that 19-year-old Lyon winger Yaya Soumaré has been handed a professional contract offer from German giants Bayern Munich.
Soumaré is an important aspect to the club’s current youth ranks, and OL have made tying the teen to a professional contract a top priority of theirs in the coming weeks. Especially because Lyon have been informed that Bayern have come in with a big offer for the French U19 international, whose youth contract expires in June.
The German outfit watched him in the UEFA Youth League against RB Leipzig in October and quickly decided that they needed to sign him.
The Bavarians have presented the teen with their project over the long term, which includes him starting his first season if he was to join in their reserves or going out on loan.
RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg have also made their interest in the youngster known.
