Speaking to RMC, French international right-back Benjamin Pavard reacted to the fact that his club Bayern Munich had progressed to the 2020 Champions’ League final.
“I feel really very good, my ankle is good, I am three weeks ahead of where I was due to be. I put on the Champions’ League music at home every morning, I wanted to be here for the team. We are happy to be in the final. It is nice, I am happy that there is a French club in the final. But there will be no French club in my head. We knew that Lyon would sit quite deep and counter, they had chances that could have hurt us, but we knew to score at the right moment. We are going to take the positives, we won. We played quite high, we tried to press them as much as possible, so we can leave spaces.”
For everyone French it is going to be a very good match between two great teams. We are going to prepare to win. They have a very complete team, we do too, we are not scared of PSG. We are calm. Nobody scares us, we are Bayern. We have to put the cherry on the cake of a truly great season.
