Blaise Matuidi on COVID-19 diagnosis: “I typically have a positive attitude.”

Speaking in an Instagram post, 32-year-old French international and Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi discussed his positive diagnosis for COVID-19.

“I am positive. Typically, I like to think positively. I am someone who tries to radiate good energy around me, my family, my friends and my team-mates. Today I am staying positive. I am a carrier of the virus with no symptoms, I am aware that I am privileged to be a professional footballer and benefit from regular and excellent medical support. If that was not the case, I would have no doubt never known (that I had COVID-19). I am positive, I am strong, I have good morale, so does my family. I am positive, we will come out of this challenge together, it will teach us to know each other better, show more solidarity to each other, be more generous to each other, be better.”

“I want to thank you for your messages of friendship and support. Remain disciplined and united to be able to soon embrace your children and to hold your parents in your arms again, embrace your brothers and sisters and celebrate goals with our team-mates. I am positive, we will overcome this.”
