Speaking to media following Chelsea’s 2-0 loss in the Premier League on Monday night at home to Manchester United, Frank Lampard was not optimistic about the fitness of N’Golo Kanté.
“‘It’s an adductor injury. We’ll have to assess it but it doesn’t look great.”
The ex-Caen and Leicester man exited the pitch after just 12 minutes.
As pointed out by Zach Lowy, the number of minutes that Kanté has played in club football in the last four seasons, plus his consistent exploits for the French national team, have likely contributed to his fitness issues in 2019/20.
