DC United want Amiens defender Bakaye Dibassy

The Washington Post and L’Équipe report that MLS side DC United are in negotiations with Ligue 1 club Amiens about the possible transfer of 30-year-old central defender Bakaye Dibassy.

The Malian defender is well-liked by the Washington club owing to his versatility and ability to play anywhere across the back four. Talks are ongoing but a deal is by no means imminent at this stage, as the club has already lost Jordan Lefort in that position to Young Boys just a few days ago and their options, particularly on the left-hand side, are limited.

Dibassy is under contract with the Picardy club until 2021.
