Ligue 1 side Dijon continue to be active in the summer transfer window as they search to add another attacker to their ranks after losing out on Stephy Mavididi to Montpellier earlier on during the window.
After adding Alex Dobre from Bournemouth, they have now turned their attention to Dutch youth international and Leeds United forward Jay-Roy Grot.
It must be added that Grot was third on Sporting Director Peguy Luyindula’s shortlist, after trying to sign Mustapha Bundo and Stiven Plaza, who preferred to join Anderlecht and Trabzonspor respectively.
21-year-old Grot spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Vitesse Arnhem, scoring four times and delivering two assists in 27 matches. He is under contract with LUFC until June 2021.
The DFCO coaching staff feel that Grot corresponds with the profile that they are searching for: a quick, physical striker who can make deep runs. Now we will wait to see if they make a concrete approach or not.
