Newly promoted to Ligue 1 side FC Lorient yesterday announced the contract extension of 20-year-old French midfielder Enzo Le Fée until June 2024.
Les Merlus were facing serious interest in their talent, notably from Italy, who has been at the club since the age of 8 and enjoyed a fantastic 2019/20 Ligue 2 campaign.
The French U20s international had the following to say on the news:
“I have always said that I wanted to play in Ligue 1 with FC Lorient. That is an ambition that I am going to achieve this season and I am certainly very proud. To be able to play in just one and the same club, from footballing school, to youth level to the elite of French football, it is a challenge that I wanted to take on. The hardest part will begin as we will have to perform well in Ligue 1. I hope to meet the expectations of the staff and the club to help FC Lorient stay up by the end of the season. I am excited to get going.”
