RMC Sport report that Turkish giants Fenerbahce have overtaken German outfit FC Köln in the race to sign 27-year-old French central defender Simon Falette.
Frozen out of the starting XI at Eintracht Frankfurt, the ex-Metz man is looking for a new club this month.
After FC Köln took an early lead in the race to sign the player on loan with an option to buy, Fenerbahce have now moved ahead and are in more advanced negotiations with Frankfurt about the same type of deal.
