Speaking to L’Équipe, French Football Federation President Noël Le Graët claimed that French President Emmanuel Macron has made it clear to him that he wants fans in stadiums from the moment that professional football returns after an extended COVID-19-induced hiatus.
“He wants football to return quickly and with fans. He is going to consult with medical experts… There is a chance that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to diminish. If that is not the case, I would very well understand that this won’t be possible.”
