Marching out of Ligue 1 in 2018 on his own accord, walking out on Bordeaux, manager Gustavo Poyet told L’Équipe today that he would like to return to manage in the French 1st division.
“It is complicated to talk about my experience at Bordeaux, because there are things that you cannot say when it finishes with a club. There is confidentiality in the contracts. But everything came out in the press, aside from that it is merely a question of point of view. It is a shame, because I think that we had something very positive in the dressing room. I could come back to France. I liked it a lot. I waited 30 years before coming back after my experience as a player (Grenoble). I like the league, the strength of the players, the way of playing. I liked a lot of things. I would like to come back one day and to coach there again.”
