Hassane Kamara open to summer Reims departure: “Like every competitor, I must seek better.”

Speaking in an interview with L’Union, versatile wide player and full-back Hassane Kamara admitted that he is open to leaving Ligue 1 side Reims this summer.

Last winter, RCD Mallorca and an unnamed English side had offers rejected for the player by SDR worth between €3m and €5m.

Under contract until June 2021, the 26-year-old had the following to say:

“Like every competitor, I must seek better. But I am keeping my feet on the ground and a cool head. At the end of the season, I will have one year remaining on my contract. Nothing is stopping me from extending and then leaving like Édouard Mendy did (moving to Rennes last summer).”
