France Football report that Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir are very interested in signing 29-year-old attacking midfielder Wahbi Khazri from Ligue 1 side St Étienne.
The Tunisian international is considering their approach and has a number of clubs in this country after him, having also received a proposal from Trabzonspor, which was a loan with a €3m option to buy.
Khazri scored 6 goals and laid on 4 assists last season, who is unsure about the Trabzon offer, who are cash strapped and can’t afford to match his ASSE salary, is more interested by the proposal from Basaksehir, who won the Turkish 1st division in 2019/20. Istanbul BB can offer a transfer fee, rather than a loan structure, which is attractive to Les Verts, who want to offload the ex-SC Bastia man, who is under contract with them until June 2022.
