L’Équipe report that 27-year-old Spanish winger Jesé is seeking mutual termination agreement talks with PSG so that he can join another club of his choosing on a free transfer.
The Spaniard played 21 minutes in Ligue 1 recently as a substitute vs RC Lens, but has no future in Thomas Tuchel’s squad. Signed in 2016 under the Unai Emery regime for €25m, the Real Madrid youth talent has suffered from a number of private life setbacks that have prevented him from fulfilling his potential.
Real Valladolid and clubs in the MLS and Saudi Arabia are interested in a deal, but only on a free transfer.
Jesé has 12 months remaining on his current deal and doesn’t want yet another loan spell, after four consecutive failed adventures at Las Palmas, Stoke City, Real Betis and Sporting Portugal.
PSG had hoped to sell Jesé to raise cash for him, but it is getting to the stage of the window where they might have to become a little more pragmatic.
