Jimmy Cabot confirms Lorient exit: “I am open to anything.”

Speaking in an interview with Ouest-France, 26-year-old French winger Jimmy Cabot confirmed that he would be leaving FC Lorient when his contract expires in June, despite the club winning promotion to Ligue 1 for next season.

“I need to move, to take on new challenges. I need to see something completely different. My time at Lorient is in the past. With the situation that we are experiencing at the moment in France and abroad, there is nothing concrete. I am open to anything. I will try to find an interesting project where I can enjoy myself. For the moment, there is nothing really refined. There are things, noises, as usual. Like each transfer window. And as I am coming to the end of my contract…”

Marseille and Besiktas have reportedly been in touch with the player’s entourage.
