Le Républicain Lorrain report that 33-year-old Ghanaian international John Boye is set to stay at Ligue 1 side FC Metz.
Boye formed a formidable partnership with Dylan Bronn in January, but his contract was due to expire in June.
However, there was an automatic option to extend the deal for a further 12 months were Metz to remain in the French top flight. Which is something they have successfully managed to do after the LFP pronounced the season as complete last week, despite 10 games per side remaining unplayed.
Boye is therefore now expected to be contracted to the club until June 2021.
