Juventus & Atletico Madrid make initial contact for Alexandre Lacazette

L’Équipe report that Juventus and Atletico Madrid have made contact with Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette about a possible summer move.

With two years remaining on his current contract, European giants are taking an interest in his situation – Inter Milan have sounded him out, notably in relation to a possible departure of Lautaro Martinez.

However, both Atletico Madrid and Juventus have also opened talks to sign the Frenchman. The Spanish side’s interest in Lacazette dates back – in the summer of 2017, Atleti even struck an agreement with Lyon to sign him. However, they were hit with a recruitment ban and eventually watched the French forward go to Arsenal instead.

This time, to ensure that they don’t miss out, the Spanish club are very open to including one of their players in an eventual deal – Thomas Partey is a name that keeps being echoed.

Like Atletico, Juventus would also like to include a player in any possible deal for Lacazette – to try to find a solution, discussions between the relevant parties have begun. But, like all interested sides, the Old Lady is going to have to wait – Arsenal have refused all conversations for until their Premier League season is over.
