KV Oostende to sign attacker Makhtar Gueye from St Étienne

Goal France report that Belgian side KV Oostende have agreed a deal in principle with St Étienne to sign 22-year-old attacker Makhtar Gueye.

The Belgian club is now run by former OGC Nice president Gauthier Ganaye – under contract with Les Verts until 2023, the Senegalese striker is poised to join Oostende on a permanent basis.

The size of the transfer fee is believed to be €1.25m and the length of Gueye’s future contract have yet to filter through.

Gueye spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Ligue 2 side Nancy, where he scored 7 goals in 23 outings.
