Lyon poised to enter into formal partnership with Portuguese side Sporting Club Farense

L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Lyon’s proposed partnership with Portuguese club Sporting Club Farense, which has been in the offing for several months now, is close to being formalised.

The 2nd division side, who have won promotion to the top tier next season after Portuguese footballing bodies decided to terminate the campaign for the second tier and promote the teams that sat in the top two positions, will offer OL a direct port of entry into Portuguese football and allow them to place certain Brazilian signings there so that they can integrate the world of European football.
