Le Progrès report that 29-year-old Brazilian right-back Rafael has told Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas that he wishes to return to his native country this summer, more specifically to Fluminense.
Under contract with OL until June 2021, the French club are seeking to move at least one right-back on this summer, with Kenny Tete and Léo Dubois also at the club and the Frenchman having well-established himself as the undisputed starter.
However, the economic situation in Brazil this summer is likely to make a deal virtually impossible – now we’ll have to wait and see if Rafael will accept to have a rotation position in the 1st team squad.
