Marie-Laure Delie, France’s 3rd top scorer in history, retires

32-year-old French international and PSG attacker Marie-Laure Delie has today announced her retirement from football.

Delie is the 3rd highest scorer for the women’s French national team in history, with 65 goals – the last time that she represented Les Bleues was two years ago.

Delie had a rich playing career at PSG, Montpellier, Metz and Madrid CFF, where she signed what will now be the final contract of her career in the summer of 2019.

She made 123 appearances for France during an illustrious career – she is also PSG’s highest ever scorer for the women’s team in history.

“A wonderful book closes and another opens,” she wrote on Instagram.
