Speaking to Canal + following tonight’s 4-4 draw with Amiens, PSG’s Brazilian defensive player Marquinhos discussed Tuesday’s monster clash with Borussia Dortmund.
“I will tell you the truth, this is a bit historical: the matches before the Champions’ League, we know that they are very difficult. There is a very big match that is coming and we know that the match before is always very difficult, especially away from home against a very courageous who were on form today. They were efficient, they came forward the first time, they scored, the same the second time, and that made things difficult for us. Sometimes, we come across teams who are not as efficient and we are able to produce better matches. But Amiens put us in difficult situations. Now, to the Champions’ League, we are going to have to be much better than this.”
“Of course (I feel ready)! Mentally, especially so. I wanted to be in a good rhythm before arriving at this match but the circumstances have ensured differently and we must not think about that. Above all, I go into this match healed. Physically, I am good, I have worked well during the three weeks of absence that I had, I really did a lot of reinforcement and I am very happy despite the injury to come back in good physical condition. I still have two or three days to work on that and then it will be up to the coach.”
