Marquinhos: “This was not our best match, but we knew how to win it.”

Speaking to France 2, PSG central defender Marquinhos discussed the club’s Coupe de France final victory over St Étienne.

“This is very good. It was a unique context, this was the first time without many supporters, the atmosphere was not as warm as it was the last time. But a final must be won, no matter how. This wasn’t our best match but we knew how to win it and to maintain the score, which was the most important thing in the moment.”

On injuries to Thilo Kehrer and Kylian Mbappé:

Certainly. We will see how things go. I hope that it is not very bad because they are two important players in the squad and in the shape of our team. We will see, but we just have to prepare well, work well. We still have a cup to go and get and we have to go slowly, little by little, day by day. We will see how things go.
