Mounir Chouiar out of Dijon’s squad; Wolves, Leeds & Arsenal after him

L’Équipe reports that 21-year-old attacking midfielder Mounir Chouiar will not be involved for Dijon vs Brest on Sunday in Ligue 1, owing to transfer related seasons.

Leeds, Arsenal and Wolves are all after the player, who moved to DFCO last summer from Lens and scored 4 goals in 20 league matches in 2019/20.

An eventual transfer would likely cost €15m to €20m, with Lens recouping 20% of the sell-on fee. Such a deal would make Chouiar Dijon’s record sale, eclipsing Loïs Diony’s departure to St Étienne in the summer of 2017 for €10m.
