Sky Sports claim that Premier League side Newcastle had agreed a £45m deal with Ligue 1 side Lille for the transfer of 20-year-old central midfielder Boubakary Soumaré, including bonuses.
The deal collapsed, per the outlet, because the player refused the move, but Sky posit that The Magpies could revisit this in the summer.
