RMC Sport report that potential future Saudi owners of Newcastle United have approached ex-PSG Sporting Director Antero Henrique about a similar position.
The Portuguese has had initial contacts with representatives for the relevant investment fund. The future board expressed their desire to Henrique to build a team to eventually win the Premier League with.
No agreement has yet been found with Henrique, but he is interested by the Magpies’ future project. There is still work to be done for any collaboration to occur, notably for the Premier League to actually validate the sale to the Saudis, which has been held up owing to piracy concerns.
Henrique in the meantime has other opportunities with other European sides to consider.
