Marseille took 3 points at the Parc des Princes this evening, beating PSG 1-0 in a game that saw 14 yellow and 5 red cards handed out.
During the match, Brazilian attacker Neymar accused Spanish defender Alvaro Gonzalez of racism, being picked up on the microphones multiple times saying: “Racism, no. Racism, no.”
Téléfoot Chaine reporter Gregoire Margotton later claimed that Neymar had told those around him that Gonzalez had said: “Shut your mouth, dirty monkey.”
It should be indicated that Margotton’s claims have not been verified independently at this stage, but he is one of the most respected journalists in French football.
Asked about possible racism from his central defender, Villas-Boas had the following to say: “It would be a totally unacceptable thing if that happened, but I do not think so. What we saw, what was visible, was Di Maria spitting (on Alvaro)… but anyway these are things that we must avoid in football.”
Téléfoot Chaine later showed the sequence of events immediately after Alvaro’s alleged racism – during the sequence, Neymar pleads with the 4th official, repeating: “No racism, no racism.” He then claims to the assistant seconds later that Alvaro called him “a f***ing black.”
Alvaro is seen in the sequence saying: “What racism?”
When Neymar is sent off, he shouts down the camera on the touchline saying: “I hit [Alvaro] because he is a racist.”
Neymar took to Twitter on Sunday night to formalise his claims, initially saying that “I only regret not punching this a**hole in the face.”
Único arrependimento que tenho é por não ter dado na cara desse babaca

He later followed this up with another Tweet, in which he claimed that Marseille defender Alvaro called him “a son of a b**** monkey.”
VAR pegar a minha “agressão” é mole … agora eu quero ver pegar a imagem do racista me chamando de “MONO HIJO DE PUTA” (macaco filha da puta)… isso eu quero ver!
