Neymar’s identity stolen in Brazil to demand for state aid

UOL Esporte and Globo report that 28-year-old PSG attacker Neymar has been the victim of stolen identity in his native Brazil.

An individual is understood to have used the player’s personal details to demand state aid for workers in difficulty during the COVID-19 crisis.

Neymar’s entourage commented on the matter to UOL:

“Obviously, Neymar has never sought out to use this programme and we do not know who has been able to do it. The player’s representatives weren’t even aware of this aid before being contacted by the press.”
