Ligue 1 side Lyon earlier today announced the signing of Cameroonian international attacker Karl Toko-Ekambi from Spanish side Villarreal after an initial 6-month loan for €11.5m plus up to an additional €4m in bonuses.
The 27-year-old has signed a 4-year contract with Les Gones, with the Spanish side retaining a 15% sell-on percentage fee clause which will be activated should OL ever sell the player on. This percentage interesting ratchets up to 50% if OL sell the player on before 15th September 2020.
Toko-Ekambi has been an instant hit at OL, with his mixture of pace and physicality a nightmare for opposition defences and his forming of an impressive relationship with Moussa Dembélé in a relatively short period of time.
