Speaking in an interview with RTL to celebrate the release of his autobiography in France, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud discussed the pressure that comes with being his country’s #9 and the subsequent criticism.
“It is true that it can be quite hard. I have a heart and feelings. So of course it hurts, especially when it is the French public. Life has highs and lows. We are not robots. Of course you need to rebound as quickly as possible in delicate periods and I try to put those values to my children.”
