Ligue 1 side PSG have today announced the professional contract signing of 17-year-old central midfielder Édouard Michut, who is now tied to the Paris club until June 2023.
Michut began his footballing career at FC Le Chesnay 78 and then FC Versailles 78 and has never played for a club outside of the Paris region.
The right-footer integrated into PSG’s academy in July 2016, when he was placed into the U14s. He later became a French youth international at U16 and U17 level.
During the 2019/20 campaign, Michut played for PSG’s U17s, scoring twice and laying on three assists in 19 matches. Michut was the most used player in that particular PSG category by coach Stéphane Moreau.
In 2020/21, Michut will be able to participate in the Coupe Gambardella and the UEFA Youth League for Les Parisiens, who fought off competition from Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus and Valencia to keep the teenager with them.
