PSG ask LFP to postpone Saturday’s match vs RC Lens

PSG have made a request to the LFP to postpone their first game of the Ligue 1 season currently scheduled for 29th August when they are due to take RC Lens on Saturday evening.

As reported Téléfoot Chaine, Les Parisiens want more time to recover following their endeavours in the Final 8, losing in the Champions’ League final to Bayern Munich on Sunday night, giving them six days between that match and their first game of the 2020/21 campaign.

The LFP will meet on Tuesday to consider this matter, but in theory both RC Lens and broadcaster Téléfoot Chaine are fine with this course of action.

If this match is postponed, then PSG’s first game in Ligue 1 will be against Marseille, on 13th September.
