Rayan Aït-Nouri extends contract with Angers until 2023

Ligue 1 side Angers have this afternoon announced the contract extension of French youth international left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri until 2023.

The 18-year-old’s previous contract ran until 2021 and this represents a great piece of news for a club that has faced months of turmoil at boardroom level, including a raft of sexual assault allegations being made against President Saïd Chabane and the shock decision to sack General Manager Olivier Pickeu with immediate effect.

Aït-Nouri was aggressively pursued by Premier League side Crystal Palace last January and suffered a nasty jaw injury during a match vs Nice in the same month.
