Rennes President Létang dismissed for negotiating with Real Madrid on Eduardo Camavinga – L’Équipe

French sports daily L’Équipe claims that part of the reason why 3rd placed Ligue 1 side Rennes suddenly dismissed President Olivier Létang yesterday was that club owners, the Pinault family, did not appreciate him negotiating directly with Real Madrid about the possible sale of 17-year-old midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

The outlet claims that Létang was doing so with the possible goal of his being to sell him in summer.

Camavinga signed his first professional contract with SRFC in December 2018, which was to run for three years, despite him having been yet to play for the club’s 1st team. Then, after a few appearances in the spring of 2019, he extended last summer, until 2022.
