L’Équipe report that since the end of February, three Dijon players have had their homes robbed. The police have opened an investigation into the incidents to see if there is a connection, with authorities believing that the spate of crimes have been committed by the same group.
Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd was the first victim on February 22nd. He was playing at the Gaston-Gérard stadium for his team’s match against AS Monaco, whilst the crime took place.
It was winger Mounir Chouiar’s turn to be burgled at the beginning of March. The club then offered to move him into different accommodation. The last known victim within the squad: right-back Mickaël Alphonse. This latest incident occurred this week. At that time, the player was quarantining near Paris.
The estimated worth of items stolen is around €50,000. Luxury watches, expensive clothing and tech products were stolen.
