Le Progrès report that Ligue 1 side St Étienne have activated a €4.5m option to purchase 28-year-old versatile French defender Timothée Kolodziejczak from Mexican side Tigres.
This, despite the well-reported difficult relationship between “Kolo” and manager Claude Puel, who left the player out of 1st team squads repeatedly across the course of this campaign.
Kolo has signed a 2-year contract with ASSE until June 2022. He is expected to move formally into the left-back position.
