St Étienne soliciting investment from Dubai

Ligue 1 club St Étienne, through their co-president Bernard Caiazzo, have recently been soliciting investment from Dubai.

At the recent invitation of the Dubai Sport Council, their equivalent of the Sports Ministry, Caiazzo, met with its Secretary General, Saeed Hareb, to discuss “cooperation and investment opportunities.”

Le Progrès report that initial conversations around cooperation concerns local clubs (in the Middle East) and youth academies. The idea is over the next two years to create a network of partner clubs to entice the arrival of investors, as minority holders, which is what the ASSE board is seeking.
