Speaking in an interview with L’Est Républicain, 20-year-old AS Nancy midfielder Thanawat Suengchitthawon confirmed his departure at the end of this month when his youth contract expires and his move to Leicester City.
His contract with the Foxes will be three years in length.
“All that is missing is the medical and for me to sign my contract… I have already had contact with Leicester three seasons ago. But at the time, I did not really respond… I felt that Nancy were not really counting on me anymore (they offered him an additional youth deal, rather than a professional contract). In what was said to me, I was told things about playing for the reserves in the 5th division. Without a professional contract, that was something very difficult to accept.”
