Speaking to RMC Sport, PSG captain Thiago Silva confirmed that he was leaving the club after their Champions’ League final defeat against Bayern Munich.
“The disappointment is there, we will have to continue and lift our heads. Not everyone gets to the final. The match was decided on small details. We knew that they cross a lot to the far post, we were punished. Sadly for me, it was my final match at PSG. It is even worse for me. This year, things worked very well, apart from during this match.”
“Thanks to everyone for the support, it was incredible. Respect is the most important thing and they have always shown me that. I apologise to the supporters for the disappointment of this final. The club will continue to progress and will have a new opportunity to win the Champions’ League. I hope to be able to come back in the future to do something with PSG. I am incredibly grateful to the club. Thanks to the president, thanks to the Emir for their faith.”
On Chelsea:
I don’t know, I want to still play for another 3 or 4 years. I want to prepare myself to play the World Cup in Qatar in 2022. We will see how my body responds.
