Thiago Silva’s wife defends decision to flee Paris for Brazil amid COVID-19 pandemic: “Here we have a pool.”

Speaking on her Instagram story, PSG captain and Brazilian international central defender Thiago Silva’s wife, Isabelle, sought to explain why the player and his family fled to Brazil amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with all training currently suspended by the capital club.

“We decided to leave because the situation in Paris was truly sad. I was not able to stockpile things, I couldn’t find anything left in the supermarkets. We took a flight to Brazil because here I was able to find food in the supermarket, and we have more options in terms of staying at home with the children, here we have the swimming pool.”

She later added: “no members of our family have any symptoms that would indicate we have the virus.”
