The LFP on Thursday morning announced that the Trophée des Champions, the French equivalent of the Community Shield, which is normally held at the beginning of a league season but was not on this occasion owing to COVID-19, has been rescheduled to 13th January 2021.
The match, which was due to occur on a different continent as part of the LFP’s drive to internationalise Ligue 1, will instead be occurring in Lens.
The match is between PSG and Marseille, the sides who finished 1st and 2nd in Ligue 1 in 2019/20.
