UEFA hand PSG warning for “unsportsmanlike conduct”

UEFA have announced in a press release today that, following the meeting of their Discipline and Ethics Control body, they are formally warning PSG for “unsportsmanlike conduct” deemed to have occurred on 11th March during the club’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

UEFA have invoked article 15 (a) (v), which warns against “team misconduct”. It is unclear what this ruling is referring to, whether it was the manner in which Les Parisiens’ players acted leading up to and after the Emre Can sending off, or their goading of Erling Braut Haaland by copying his celebration en masse on the pitch following victory.

PSG will not face any repercussions and are merely being handed a formal warning.
