L’Équipe report that Ligue 2 side Valenciennes are hoping to add versatile left-sided Mauritanian Aly Abeid to their ranks this month on a permanent deal from Spanish 2nd division side Levante.
It is understood that Abeid has okayed the move, now it is up to the clubs to reach an agreement.
Speaking to reporters today, Valenciennes boss Olivier Guégan confirmed being interested in the player:
“I have followed him for a long time. I don’t want to disrupt the squad. But he would give me some movement in terms of organising things. If he comes in January, Cabral could move centrally and Ambri can do this type of job which would allow me to test other systems.”
