William Saliba won’t play for Arsenal in the 2019/20 season if football returns

William Saliba is expected to join up with Arsenal earlier than he otherwise would have had the Ligue 1 2019/20 season been completed, but the player will not play for Arsenal during this campaign if the Premier League campaign is finished in its entirety, according to RMC.

He can train with Arsenal, but won’t be able to appear for them in official competitions until the 2020/21 campaign begins.

The Bondy native joined the Gunners last summer for €30m, before being loaned back to St Étienne for 12 months.

Saliba played on just 19 occasions this season and suffered from a number of injuries.
