Sky Italia report that AC Milan have had a €1m plus €1m in bonuses offer accepted by Chelsea for 34-year-old French international striker Olivier Giroud.
Giroud himself has agreed a 2-year contract worth €3.5m/year net with the Italian side and is expected to travel to Milan next week, with a medical possible as soon as Monday.
The Frenchman had hoped to complete the move before EURO 2020, but the Premier League side activated an automatic extension option in Giroud’s contract, much to the player’s chagrin after he failed to feature regularly for Thomas Tuchel in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign.
