Speaking to Le Parisien, Arsène Wenger remained confident about France’s chances at EURO 2020.
“France inspires me above all with their potential. You feel that there are always the necessary resources to make the difference when needs be. There is no consistence in the play over 90 minutes but a form of security exists, both going forward and defensively. You feel that if really needs be, they can score another. Against Portugal we played with a form of control. I think that the players were not conscious of it but we felt that. We didn’t use our resources to set the rhythm of the match or force the opponent into a mistake. We have enough talent to win the match without pushing ourselves to the limit for the moment.”
