Benjamin Lecomte out for 3-5 weeks with quadriceps issue – Alexander Nübel will have his chance

French goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte has suffered an injury at the top of his quadriceps in friendly action with AS Monaco.

As a result, as reported by Mohamed Toubache-TER, Lecomte will be out of action for between 3 to 5 weeks depending on how quickly the rehabilitation period goes. This has been a somewhat recurring problem for the Frenchman and rushing back on consecutive occasions has not helped.

As a result, it means that German goalkeeper and new signing Alexander Nübel will have a clear route to a prolonged shot at the #1 spot.
